When to use it
Hand it out at the end, while people are still in the room or still have the recording open. Sent the next day it collects half the answers, and they're from the ones who were angry or delighted — never the middle.
Three things that help
- «What would you cut» and «what would you add» as two questions, not one: together they only ever produce the second.
- The matrix keeps it short: four judgements on one screen instead of four questions.
- Overall rating first and as stars: it's given on instinct, and instinct is what you're trying to measure.
