When to use it
Waivers, consents, pickups, deliveries: anywhere a paper signature and then a scan used to be needed. Here the signature is an image attached to the response, and the response is already a row with a date on it.
Three things that help
- Put the statement as a Consent question **before** the signature: people should sign something they've just read, not a generic form.
- This is not a qualified electronic signature and shouldn't be presented as one: it's evidence of agreement, not a legally certified digital signature.
- Turn on the receipt: someone who signs something wants a copy of what they signed, and that's fair.
